Charging for our Services: Insolvency and Corporate Recovery

Our aim is to maximise recovery, whilst ensuring cost is proportionate, and we aim to be as transparent as possible about the way in which we charge for our services. With this in mind:

We aim to provide you with the best advice of the likely costs at the outset and to work within an agreed budget where possible.

We will keep you regularly updated of any relevant developments as we go along.

We will advise you if we are able to claim a contribution to your costs from the other side.

You can contact Gavin Pickering (Head of Insolvency and Corporate Recovery) to discuss further on 01293 596976.

Traditionally, lawyers charge for their services by reference to an hourly charge out rate, depending on the experience and seniority of the lawyer concerned.

In addition, we can work with litigation funders or after the event litigation expenses insurers if your matter is suitable although we may ask you to pay for initial advice in order to ascertain if it is suitable.

Our rates +

Gavin’s normal hourly rates are up to £310 per hour plus VAT. Your matter may involve a mix of fee earners on different hourly rates dependent on the type of work being done. We will set out and obtain your agreement to who in the team could be working on your matter and their rates, in advance. Please call for a quote.

Disbursements

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties. We will advise you of what disbursements will apply, how much they will be, and obtain the funds from you to enable us to pay them on your behalf (which ensures a smoother process).
