St Catherine’s Hospice demonstrates a responsible attitude to Wills – a lead others should follow

Posted
October 4, 2012

Earlier this year stevensdrake took part in the annual St Catherine’s Hospice‘Make a Will Fortnight’ which raised in the region of £2,000 for the charity. The two-week period saw solicitors from across Sussex offer to write standard Wills for people free of charge, in return for a donation to St Catherine's Hospice. Sue Tipper of the Crawley based solicitors, said: “We were astounded by the response to the event and it demonstrated to us just how many people haven’t made provision for their future, or the future of their loved ones”. Sue added: "The importance of making a Will cannot be overstated. With the economy as it is, it's all too easy to be thinking day-to-day, but when you've seen the complications that can be caused when people haven't made provisions, you see very clearly why people need to think ahead. This initiative organised by the team at St Catherine's Hospice shows that people are concerned, they just need to turn that concern into action." Whilst the Make a Will fortnight offer is finished for 2012, the team at stevensdrake continue to offer a first class Will making service. For more information on how to make your Will, or to make an appointment, contact Sue on 01293 596900.
